So you want to be published?

Great! Papers that earned an "A" are prime candidates. Even if you got an A+, take the time to proofread it one more time and tweak here and there as needed. Also, remember to delete out my commentary at the end (the editors don't want that). Competition for the CCM is stiff, so make sure you've submitted your very best work! Good luck!

Interactive Blog 2

So here's a creepy story about how Facebook knows everything about you. Try to relate it to our conversations about panopticons.

Groups for in-class activity 3/26/13:

What type of space is being created?
How has media changed the space?
What psychological effects are shaping space?
How close are we to reality?
Is the creation of this space ethical? Is the outcome ethical? Do the means justify the outcome?

First Interactive Blog Post

So here's the story about Derby Line, the town in Vermont that straddles the US-Canada border. In your response try to think critically about what we have been saying about space and place and constructed spaces. Feel free to give opinions, quote readings we've done, pull from class discussion, link to other related stories--whatever seems appropriate!

So I saw this map on my Twitter feed that redraws the US according to population. It made me think of our class conversation and activity on Thursday. You can check out the website's methodology here.
